About This Event

Whether you are new to Hispanic outreach or have been serving the market for years, you'll gain tips on how to to get organization-wide support for your Hispanic growth efforts. In this free one-hour session, we'll focus on key strategies for an inclusive Hispanic growth strategy:
  • Hispanic Market Training: Implement a personnel training plan to equip staff with the information and tools they need to better understand the needs of Hispanic members.
  • Organizational-Wide Communications: Launch a communications plan to keep your board, managers, staff and members in the know about the progress of your Hispanic growth efforts.
  • Comprehensive Approach: Follow a strategic approach to building the right organizational mentality at your credit union to serve a new market.

Just like in face-to-face classes, CUNA Webinars allow you to see and hear a presentation, ask questions of the instructor, and refer to handouts. You need only a speakerphone and computer with Internet connection. With a computer projection screen, it's easy to provide this training to a whole roomful of staff! Anna Pena

Anna has been a consistent advocate for the development of Hispanic families with more than five years in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. This has included the development and support of inclusive strategies, specifically for helping Hispanic families gain access to higher education and access the financial resources to make higher education a reality. She is fully proficient in Spanish with more than 10 years of language development through immersion experiences and educational opportunities. Anna is also a certified interpreter.

Anna has a Master’s of Public Administration from Drake University and received her Bachelor’s degree from Luther College, where she studied Spanish, communication and international studies. Anna works closely with Coopera’s clients providing assessments, consulting, training, translations and assisting with the development of Hispanic consumer products.
